Applicant/Agent must supply the following items to the inspector’s office:
Planning and Zoning approval
Septic approval from the Lincoln County Health Department
Proof of Registry with the Occupational Tax Office
Contractor’s proof of liability insurance/worker’s comp
A permanent address assigned by 911
Blueprints or detailed plan designs
Building permit fees will cover the following:
Footing inspection-prior to concrete, after steel is tied in place on chairs
Basement wall steel inspection- prior to concrete, after formed and steel is tied
Framing inspection- prior to insulation and drywall, after rough-in inspection by electrical
Inspector and plumbing inspector and HVAC inspector
Final inspection-this inspection will be made after completion, prior to occupancy.
A certificate of Occupancy will be issued at this time along with a lender letter if requested.
It is the responsibility of the applicant/agent to notify the building inspector’s office when required inspections are needed.
Permits are issued between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday unless prior arrangements are made in advance with the inspector.
When possible, schedule appointments for inspections at least one day in advance.
